Riley Emig of the 300 block of Protectory Road, Abbottstown, has died following a motorcycle crash into a pick-up truck towing a trailer, according to a release by the York County Coroner's Office.
Riley was "traveling at a high rate of speed when he struck an F150 pick-up truck that had been pulling a trailer," as stated in the coroner's release. He was wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
The crash happened when the Ford F-150 turned from Beaver Creek Road onto Broadway around 4:47 p.m. on July 13, as detailed in the release.
The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured," Penn Township Police said in a separate release.
Riley was pronounced dead at UPMC Hanover Hospital at 5:40 p.m. that same night as the crash. Deputy Coroner Michelle Rau was called to the hospital to investigate and certify the death.
There will be no autopsy, and it is unclear if a routine toxicology test was performed.
His cause of death was "Multiple Blunt Force Trauma" and the manner was ruled "Accidental", according to the coroner's release.
Penn Township Police continue to investigate this fatal crash.

In addition to sprinter racing, Riley was a 2023 graduate of Spring Grove High School, and a forklift operator at Old Dominion Trucking Co., according to his obituary.
"Riley’s passion was racing cars. Riley started his racing career at the age of six, and concluded his career racing 410 sprint cars by the age of 18," as stated in his obituary.
He was an organ donor with the Gift of Life Program, his family said.
He is survived by his parents, two sisters, a brother, and extended family.
A visitation will be held at 9 a.m. at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 100 E. Water St, Abbottstown, followed by a memorial service with Rev. Shawn Berkebile officiating
